Applications are now open for the 55th 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme of the Indian Army. There are 90 vacancies. The opportunity is for single males. The course will start in July 2026. The training is for four years.
Salary: Rs. 56100 as monthly stipend during the training period.
Qualification: Plus Two/equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% marks and JEE Main 2025.
Age: Candidates should have been born between 2nd January 2007 and 1st January 2010 (both dates inclusive). Age will be calculated as on 1st July 2026.
Selection: Selection will be done in two phases. Those shortlisted on the basis of JEE score will be selected on the basis of interview, physical fitness test and medical examination conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB). The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in Bengaluru, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh and Jalandhar in Punjab in February and March 2026. Admit cards for selected candidates will be issued by the respective section centers through email and SMS. Physical Fitness Test: The Physical Fitness Test will consist of 24 km run (10 minutes 30 seconds), push-ups (40), pull-ups (6), sit-ups (30), squats and swimming.
Training: Four years of training will be provided in pre-commissioned training academies. Successful candidates will be appointed in the Army in the rank of Lieutenant (Permanent Commission) with a pay scale of Rs. 56100-177500 along with a degree in Engineering.
